Vi VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is an advanced technology that delivers high-quality life-like sound over voice calls across the Vi GIGAnet network. With Vi VoLTE you'll experience ultra-clear voice quality and reduced background noise. Conversations will sound more natural, almost as if the person at the other end of the phone call is right next to you. Also, with Vi VoLTE, you can surf at 5G speeds even while being on a phone call.

Vi VoLTE provides ultra-high definition call quality which makes voices sound more natural and you will hear much less background noise compared to any other standard voice call. So that you can hear the other person clearly even if they are in a noisy place.

To enjoy Vi VoLTE services, you need to:

• Have a VoLTE enabled handset
• Ensure that your handset has been upgraded with the latest software provided by your handset manufacturer
• Ensure that you are using a 5G-ready SIM
• Verify that the VoLTE voice calling feature has been enabled on your smartphone
  • For iOS: Settings -> Mobile Data -> Mobile Data Options -> Enable 5G ->Voice & Data
  • For Android: Settings -> Mobile networks -> Turn on VoLTE call.
  These settings may differ from one handset model to another depending on the handset manufacturer. You may call 198 for any further assistance.
• For users with Dual SIM handsets, Vi SIM should be inserted in the SIM slot with data capability and network mode as "5G (Auto)".

For Android users: The “HD/VoLTE” icon will be shown on the top bar of the screen

For iOS users: There is no visual change. However, they can verify the VoLTE status through the settings under mobile data.

There is no additional cost for Vi VoLTE service. VoLTE is one more way in which Vi is building a better network for its’ customers.

No. The existing plan will support the VoLTE services.

No. VoLTE calls will not consume any data. It will be charged as per your normal calls.

If you or the person you are talking with travels outside the Vi VoLTE coverage area during a VoLTE call, then your call will automatically switch to our standard voice service.

No. This service can be used only nationally (wherever it is available).However, a customer will be able to make regular calls on Data  as well

This service is currently available to all Vi prepaid and postpaid customers in Delhi, Kolkata, Gujarat, Rajasthan, UP East, UP West, Punjab, Maharashtra & Goa, Mumbai, Haryana, West Bengal, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Bihar. We will be extending this service in other states shortly.

Voice Calls made with Vi Wifi Calling  will be charged as per your tariff plan.

For Example : If you are on an unlimited plan/pack then you will not be charged for voice call. However if you are on a non–unlimited plan/pack then the charging will be as per the base tariff of your plan/pack.

Pls note -  the calls made with Vi wifi calling will use WiFi data from your broadband provider.

If you have Volte service then Vi Wifi Calling is already enabled for your connection.

While making a voice call, you will see Vi Wifi Calling icon on the top bar of the screen, indicating Vi Wifi Calling is activated. Pls note that your Handset needs to support Vi Wifi Calling

No. Currently Vi WiFi Calling service is available only in Delhi, Kolkata, Gujarat, Rajasthan, UP East, UP West, Punjab, Maharashtra & Goa, Mumbai, Haryana, West Bengal, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Bihar. Hence roaming calls are also restricted to these regions only

Yes, You can. All you need to do is enable Vi Wifi Calling  on the Vi SIM via the phone settings.

No. VI Wi-Fi Calling service will not work if the phone on airplane mode.
