Our Customer who do not want to receive commercial communication can register to Do Not Disturb (DND) services.
Customer has option to register themselves into Fully Block & Partially Block categories or select various modes communication or selecting day or time preference.
There are various options for customer to register DND services i.e. through our website, by sending SMS to 1909 (toll free), by calling dedicate IVR 1909 (toll free), through our App or TRAI DND App.
The registration of DND service will be done at real time, however it will be effective at 24hrs.

A customer can complaint against Registered Telemarketer or Unregistered Telemarketer if receives unsolicited commercial communication (UCC) after 24hrs of registration of DND services. Complaint can be made within 3 days of UCC, however complaint can be registered up to 7 days of UCC received for record purpose.
Customers need to provide the ‘telephone number’ or ‘header’ of ‘call’ or ‘SMS’ as the case may be along with short description of such call or message along with the date of receipt of such call or message.
a. Android Users can register their DND complaint through SMS, IVR, Vi App, Vi Website or TRAI DND App.
b. iPhone users can register their complaints through SMS, IVR, Vi App or VI website.
For registering complaint through SMS, please use the below syntax:
"UCC Content, XXXXXXXXXX, dd/mm/yy" to 1909.
UCC content is brief or exact verbatim content of the UCC
XXXXXXXXXX is the telephone number or header of the SMS, from which the UCC was originated.
Dd/mm/yy is the date of receipt of UCC
The telephone number or header and the date of receipt of the unsolicited commercial SMS may be appended with such SMS, while forwarding to 1909, with or without space after comma.

Please note that the penalties are graded and increase with every valid offence/violation.New Penalty will be imposed from the date of New Regulation as applicable.
B. If customer’s number is reported/found to be used for unsolicited promotional activities:
1. Upon valid first offence number will be put on usage capping** for 30 days and notice to UTM for explaining their reason.
2. Second Offence number will be put on usage capping** for 180 days.
3. Upon Third offence all numbers for the UTM shall be disconnected and blacklisted for next 2 years & subscription denied.
