How to Port SIM to Vi

Users looking for better-suited mobile plans with many additional benefits can conveniently port to Vi using the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) facility. MNP enables subscribers to switch from one network to another while retaining their existing numbers. MNP is an easy process that includes simple steps with online or offline modes.
Here is How to port SIM online:
- Visit the Vi MNP page to opt for SIM porting
- Choose from Postpaid or Prepaid options as per your requirement
- Enter your pin code, mobile number that you wish to port and address
- Select from the recommended pack or other packs
- Confirm your order with OTP
What should you be ready with for SIM porting?
- Generate the 8-digit Unique Porting Code (UPC) and keep it ready with you.
- To receive your UPC, SMS PORT to 1900. The unique code is valid for 15 days.
- Share the UPC with Vi executive at the time of SIM home delivery
Note: For J&K, NE, and Assam service areas, UPC is valid for 30 days.
Few Criteria Before you Request for MNP:
- You can request an MNP only if you have completed 90 days on the network of your existing connection and cleared all pending bills with the current service provider.
- Contractual obligations, if any, with existing network providers should be fulfilled before porting.
