PVME FAQ's

Vodafone Idea (Vi) will offer a prepaid recharge plan at INR 3199 with 365 days validity. This plan includes access to Prime Video Mobile Edition Annual plan along with other data and voice benefits.

New and existing prepaid customers of Vi who are on the eligible plan can activate PVME in 3 easy steps.

  • Visit Vi app on their phone and tap on "My Account" section on the home page. Tap on- "Active services", follow steps to claim PVME. Also, customers can click the claim banner visible on their app homescreen under “your pack benefits”. Customers can also click on the link in the PVME activation SMS, claim SMS and push received after plan recharge.
  • Sign-in to an existing Amazon account/create an Amazon account and click on activate PRIME VIDEO MOBILE EDITION.
  • Once activated, customers must download Prime Video app & sign-in with their Amazon account and enjoy PVME till recharge plan expires.

The Prime Video Mobile Edition is designed as a single-user, mobile only plan. Customers subscribed to the Prime Video Mobile Edition plan are able to access Prime Video content on one mobile device only

The Prime Video viewing experience with Prime and Prime Video Mobile Edition is different. ‘Prime’ customers are able to stream on mobile, desktop and living room devices, while customers on ‘Prime Video Mobile Edition’ plan are only allowed to stream videos on their mobile device in standard definition. Further ‘Prime Video Mobile Edition’ is a single user (single device) plan for video streaming, unlike ‘Prime’ plan which allows family members to stream Prime Video catalog across multiple devices concurrently in High & Ultra High Definition.

No. Prime Video Mobile Edition access is linked with the validity of pre-paid plan which includes PVME benefits and hence PRIME VIDEO MOBILE EDITION access is valid as long as recharge is valid. When recharge expires, the access to PRIME VIDEO MOBILE EDITION too is paused and resumes as soon as customer recharges a plan with PRIME VIDEO MOBILE EDITION benefits.

Customers need not wait till end of their recharge to start a full ‘Prime’ plan. Customers can switch to full ‘Prime’ plan anytime:

Customers can visit primevideo.com or Amazon.in/Prime and switch their active PRIME VIDEO MOBILE EDITION membership to Prime Monthly (₹299), Prime Annual (₹1499) membership 

No, you can wait for your existing Prime Membership to get over.

This doesn’t affect his existing PVME subscription but in case of any support required, user will have to reach out to Amazon.
