How To Change SIM Card Owner Name?

 

Transfer of ownership for mobile connection is allowed to blood relatives & Legal heir only

 

For Existing Customer (Transferor - Demised):

In order to transfer ownership for mobile connection in case of death of existing customer, please visit the nearest Vi store with below mentioned details/documents.

1. Mobile number details of existing customer
2. Death certificate of existing customer along with  ‘Relationship Proof’ (if a blood relative of the transferor) or ‘Legal Heir Certificate’ (if not a blood relative of the transferor) and POI/POA
3. POA/POI of new customer (blood relative) and ‘Proof of Blood Relationship’ with the existing owner. Click here for list of approved POI/POA

 

Please note: The addresses of both the transferee (New Customer) and the transferor (Existing Customer) should be the same.

 

For Existing Customer (Transferor):

If existing customer wish to transfer ownership for mobile connection willingly to his/her blood relatives or spouse, please visit the nearest Vi store with below mentioned details/documents.

1. Mobile number details of existing customer
2. No Objection Certificate (NOC) of existing customer and POI/POA . Click here for the NOC document format  
3. POA/POI of new customer (blood relative) and ‘Proof of Blood Relationship’ with the existing owner. Click here for list of approved POI/POA
