How To Change SIM Card Owner Name?

 

Transfer of ownership for mobile connection is allowed to blood relatives & Legal heir only

 

In Case of Deceased Customer:

To transfer ownership due to the death of the existing customer, the nominee must visit the nearest Vi store with the following documents

1. Mobile number details of deceased customer along with Transfer of Ownership Request form

2. Death certificate of deceased 

3. Relationship Proof (if a blood relative) OR Legal Heir Certificate (if not a blood relative)

4. Proof of Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (POA) of the new customer. Click here for the list of accepted POI/POA documents

 

For Existing Customer (Transferor):

If the current Vi customer wishes to voluntarily transfer ownership to a blood relative or spouse, please visit the nearest Vi store with:

1. Mobile number details of existing customer

2. No Objection Certificate (NOC) of existing customer and POI/POA . Click here for the NOC document format

3. POI and POA of the existing customer. Click here for the list of accepted POI/POA documents.

4. POI, POA, and Proof of Blood Relationship of the new customer

Please note: The addresses of both the transferee (New Customer) and the transferor (Existing/Deceased Customer) should be the same.
