A state government wanted to ensure that all citizens had access to the government services. To do this, they needed a robust digital infrastructure for the efficient functioning of rural citizen-to-government communication
Our Solution
• An integrated turnkey project was launched by the state government with Vi Business as their telecom partner. The project connected 10,000 Gram Panchayats • With Vi MPLS solution, more than 2,000 high-population Gram Panchayats were connected to government services, in multiple phases
Business Impact
• The digital infrastructure empowered citizens with internet access for Aadhaar enrollment, utility bill payments, submitting online application forms, and availing of health, education and welfare services • Over 200 ongoing citizen programs can now be extended to rural citizens thanks to accessibility across states • This successful Gram Panchayat connectivity project serves as a model that can be replicated in other states, as a part of the larger Digital India initiative
